DISC personality assessment is a behavioral tool based on Dr. William Moulton Marston who was the creator of DISC Theory at Harvard University in the 1920s while doing research for his book.
The DISC assessment tool is used by many people every year to help improve communication, performance, and productivity in the workplace.
The behavioral model consists of 4 dimensions that help individuals maximize their self-efficacy.

What are the four DISC types?

DISC is an acronym that stands for the four personality profiles: Dominance, Influence, Steadiness and Compliance.

People with D personalities tend to be direct, risk taker, and challenges status quo. They place an emphasis on accomplishing the task.

People with I personalities tend to be  more optimistic, persuasive, and motivates others to achieve. They place an emphasis on relationships and are interested in people.

People with S personalities tend to be easygoing, quiet, and are good listeners. They place an emphasis on helping others and are reliable team members.

People with C personalities tend to be analytical, competent, and are precise. They place an emphasis on gathering information and are the anchor of reality.
